When IS THE F1 BRITISH GRAND PRIX?

Formula One returns to the famous Silverstone track with the first two Practice sessions taking place on Friday, July 4th and the final Practice and Qualifying sessions taking place on Saturday, July 5th before the big race itself on Sunday 6th July. The lights go out for the 2025 British Grand Prix race at 15:00 (BST), while Qualifying also begins at 15:00 and practice sessions are scheduled throughout Friday and Saturday morning.

WHO WON THE BRITISH GRAND PRIX LAST YEAR?

Lewis Hamilton was the winner of the 2024 British Grand Prix for former team Mercedes and the legendary Brit will be desperate to grab at least his first podium with new team Ferrari here. McLaren's Lando Norris has never won a British Grand Prix but was victorious in the last race in Austria and will be confident of going one better than his second place finish at Silverstone in 2023.

Norris' McLaren is the undisputed fastest car on the grid this season, but teammate and current Championship leader Oscar Piastri will also pose a formidable challenge. Reigning World Champion and 2023 Silverstone winner Max Verstappen will also be dangerous as always, along with Mercedes' Brit George Russell who will be aiming for home glory.

HOW CAN I BET ON THE BRITISH GRAND PRIX WITH SPREADEX SPORTS?

As always, with Spreadex Sports you have the option of fixed odds and spread betting on F1 - on both qualifying and the race. Aside from our full range of fixed odds markets, spread betting on F1 provides the option of betting on markets such as our Live Index market.

That particular market is settled on a points system in the following manner: 1st - 25, 2nd - 10, 3rd - 5.

This means, for example, if you bought Lando Norris at 11.5 - 13 and he wins the race, you would win 12x your initial stake. Or, if you bought Lewis Hamilton at 1 - 2 and he secured at least third place and his first Ferrari podium, you would win 3x your stake for a third-place, 8x your stake for a second place or 23x your stake if he got the win.

However, if you bought Norris at 13 and he finished 2nd, you would still lose 3x your stake, 8x your stake if he finished 3rd or 13x your stake if he finished any lower, and so on.

Please remember - spread betting losses may exceed deposit or initial stake, so please bet responsibly.
