West Ham have had a tough start to the 2025–26 season, picking up just one win from their first seven Premier League fixtures. This poor run of results has left them second from bottom in the table and led to the dismissal of Graham Potter, with Nuno Espírito Santo stepping in as his replacement.
Nuno has overseen two matches so far, earning a draw away at Everton before suffering a 2-0 defeat to league leaders Arsenal. The Portuguese coach will now be hoping to claim his first win as West Ham boss in what will be his first home game in charge — a crucial fixture that could prove pivotal in the Hammers' campaign.

After seven years at the helm of Brentford, Thomas Frank departed for a new challenge with Tottenham at the start of the season, leaving Keith Andrews with the difficult task of stepping into his shoes. The Irishman has made a steady start to his first managerial role, recording two wins from his opening seven matches — including an eye-catching victory over Manchester United.
However, Brentford have struggled on the road, failing to pick up a single point away from the Gtech Community Stadium so far this season. They'll be hoping to turn that around on Monday night when they visit the London Stadium — a ground where West Ham haven’t won since February.

West Ham are the slight favourites to get all three points in this fixture, priced at 29/20 on Spreadex’s fixed odds market (13/10 on our 2 Up early payout Match Odds market) with visitors Brentford priced at 9/5 (13/8 on the 2 Up early payout market) and the draw at 12/5.
West Ham boss Nuno Espírito Santo has already come up against Brentford once this season — back on the opening day, when he was in charge of Nottingham Forest. On that occasion, Forest came away with a 3-1 victory. A repeat of that 3-1 scoreline in West Ham's favour is currently priced at 16/1, while a West Ham win with both teams scoring is available at 16/5.

Our football spread betting prices have hosts West Ham as the favourites with a Goal Supremacy quote of West Ham/Brentford 0.0 – 0.2. This means a 'buy' bet at 0.2 would need a West Ham win to start turning a profit (e.g. one goal win would win 0.8x your stake, two goal win would win 1.8x your stake, three goal win would win 2.8x your stake etc.).
A 0.0 'sell' bet would need a Brentford win to turn a profit (e.g. one goal Brentford win 1x your stake, two goal Brentford win 2x your stake etc.).
Our spread betting Total Goals line is 2.75 – 2.95. So a 2.95 'buy' bet would need at least three goals to be scored in the match to start turning a profit. Conversely, a ‘2.75’ sell bet would need two goals or less to be scored in the match to turn a profit.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. E.g. a 2.95 'buy' Total Goals bet would lose 2.95x your stake if the match ended 0-0. In the 0.2 'buy' Supremacy bet example above, if the game ended a draw the bet would lose 0.2x your stake. If Brentford won by one goal then it would lose 1.2x your stake etc. And in the 0.0 'sell' Supremacy example above, the bet would lose 1x your stake on a 1-0 West Ham win, 2 x your stake on a 2-0 West Ham win etc.

The last time West Ham hosted Brentford at the London Stadium, they secured a 4-2 victory, with standout performer Jarrod Bowen opening the scoring in the fifth minute. Interestingly, Nuno Espírito Santo also saw his side strike early against Brentford on the opening day of the season—then managing Nottingham Forest—as Chris Wood also found the net in the fifth minute of a 3-1 win. The current spread for the timing of West Ham’s first goal is set at 48.5–51.5 minutes. So, if you were to ‘sell’ and they score in the fifth minute again, you'd land a return of 43.5x your stake.
Remember that with spread betting, get the bet wrong and losses can exceed your stake/deposit. So for example if West Ham failed to score, a ‘sell’ at 48.5 would lose 41.5x times your stake.
