NFL 2025 Season Predictions - Picks for MVP & More

header

The NFL is nearly back, which means some of America’s biggest sporting stars will return to our screens to showcase their talent. With the established NFL elite being joined by an exciting crop of rookie talent, the 2025/26 season is set to be a thriller.

Ahead of the NFL season, Spreadex has a variety of Regular Season Specials markets, such as the leading passing, rushing, and receiving yards leaders, as well as fixed odds markets on end-of-season awards winners.

Cincinnati Bengals’ Joe Burrow currently leads our Player Passing Yards market with a spread of 4250-4350. Burrow led the league in passing last season with an impressive 4918 yards, and with star receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins both recently signed long-term deals, the Bengals should have a formidable passing attack. Burrow also leads the Player Passing Touchdowns market, with a spread of 32.5-34 touchdowns for the season.

Kansas City Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes also has a high passing yards spread, at 4050-4150. The Chiefs’ offence has struggled somewhat the last couple of years, and despite winning plenty of games, Mahomes hasn’t quite played at the incredibly high level of his first few seasons. However, if he can renew his connection to star tight-end Travis Kelce and if the Chiefs’ young wide receiving corps starts to click, Mahomes is certainly capable of leading the NFL in passing. His touchdowns spread of 28-29.5 also suggests that he could be set to return to top form in the 2025 season.

We also offer season-long markets for Player Rushing Yards and Player Rushing Touchdowns for the best ball carriers in the NFL. One of the biggest stars of the 2024 season, Saquon Barkley, currently has the highest rushing yards spread at 1475-1550. Barkley became just the ninth player in NFL history to rush for over 2000 yards last season, and with what is expected to be one of the league’s strongest offensive lines paving the way for him, the Eagles’ running back could be in for another great season. Veteran Derrick Henry also has a high rushing yards spread, at 1400-1475, and currently has the joint highest rushing touchdowns spread at 12.5-13.5, tied with Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts. Hurts scored 14 rushing touchdowns in 2024, ten of which came from the infamous “Tush Push” play, where he is shunted forward from behind to get over the line in short yardage situations. With league owners voting not to disallow the controversial play, Hurts could again be in for a high-scoring season on the ground.

Last season’s Triple-Crown winner (most catches, most receiving yards, most receiving touchdowns), Ja’Marr Chase, understandably has the highest spread prediction for both receiving yards and receiving touchdowns at 1325-1400 and 10.5-11.5 respectively. Justin Jefferson is the next highest in both respects at 1300-1375 yards and 9.25-10 touchdowns, with the Minnesota Vikings receiver hoping to form a strong connection with second-year quarterback JJ McCarthy, who was injured for the entire 2024 season. Also notable is rookie Travis Hunter, who currently has spreads of 800-875 receiving yards and 5.25-5.75 touchdowns. The college star made headlines throughout his university career for starring on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball, but being a two-way player at the NFL level is an entirely different proposition. Hunter’s talent is undeniable, but his receiving numbers could vary greatly depending on how the Jacksonville Jaguars decide to utilise him.

You can also find fixed odds markets for end-of-season awards like the coveted Most Valuable Player award. Baltimore Ravens’ quarterback Lamar Jackson currently leads the race for MVP at 5/1, with last season’s winner Josh Allen close behind at 6/1. The shortest odds for a non-quarterback come in at 50/1 for Saquon Barkley. Chicago Bears’ head coach Ben Johnson currently sits at 6/1 to win Coach of the Year, the shortest odds in the league despite it being his first season as an NFL head coach. Cam Ward and Ashton Jeanty both sit at 11/4 to be named Offensive Rookie of the Year, whilst Abdul Carter leads the way among defenders for the Defensive Rookie of the Year prize.
